History, philosophy, and theology lectures

How do you live a meaningful life? What is the self? Do you have free will or is everything determined? What will make you happy? What is happiness? Why is there so much suffering in the world? Does anything have any meaning? If not, why do you value some things more than others? We explore these and similar questions with lectures and discussion on history, theology, philosophy, religious studies, comparative religion, neuroscience, and more.

Participants include regulars and first-timers of different backgrounds who share a commitment to life-long learning and a passion for exploring the ideas that philosophers and theologians have wrestled with since ancient times.
