Recovering the Signs Gospel | Although the Fourth Gospel of the Christian New Testament is traditionally attributed to John, the beloved disciple of Jesus, the text was actually composed by multiple authors. There is no indication that any of these were named John nor that John is the name of the anonymous “beloved disciple” described in the text. John Hamer of Toronto Centre Place examines the evidence that a document that some scholars call the "Signs Gospel" is at the heart of the present-day canonical Gospel of John. |
